Not totally sure how you got to this page, but it looks like fate brought us together for a minute, so I guess I'd better tell you something while you're still here.
I'm Jackie, a twenty-something obsessed with magazines, eavesdropping, Instagram, lipstick, and living every night like it's Friday. What I want out of life is to write a movie, go on tour with a band, get a tattoo, and own a '67 black Mustang. I call this my "things I want to do in life in order to live without regrets" list. One thing that used to be at the top of it was to work at a magazine--but in August 2013, I got to cross that off.
After a year and a half of interviewing bands, writing about cool new fashion brands, and sending a mini zine to millions of cool girls from the offices of my favorite magazine (NYLON), I went from asking my favorite bands where they had tasted the best pizza in the world, to helping them setup interviews with writers like the old me at Golightly Media as a band bio ghostwriter, a brand/band matchmaker, and a tour press sorceress.
Now, I get to work at the coolest app ever, Bandsintown, where I'm connecting music fans with their favorite bands, one interview, email blast, and tweet at time.
All I did was follow what I loved, and here I am...living in Brooklyn without regrets.
And, oh, yeah, this photo grid is totally outdated (I have short, blonde hair now) but I just can't let it go yet.
